The Opportunity -

In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.

To support the new and growing AH-64E Apache helicopter program, BDA are looking for a proactive and driven professional who is dedicated to fostering Engineering excellence through diversity, culture, and strategic initiatives.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing technical support to establish the configuration management framework that will control and maintain this important project function. You will work alongside the customer and collaborate across teams to define and establish plans and procedures, ensuring compliance with BDA and customer processes, to implement the controls necessary to maintain accurate and traceable configuration.

As the Apache Configuration Management Specialist, you will apply your knowledge and experience to provide the following:

  1. Drive the development and implementation of configuration management plans, processes, systems and tools
  2. Assist to implement and maintain the controls necessary for data and information protection.
  3. Effectively interface with project team members and our customers to support the operation of the platform.
  4. Define and maintain the programs product definition and design data, technical baselines
  5. Coordinate Configuration Control Boards and ensure that engineering change is managed is a controlled manner.
  6. Prepare and participate in product technical design review and audits as required.

The role is based in Enoggera, Brisbane with the Army customer in an integrated Attack Helicopter System Program Office (AHSPO).

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  1. Formal Configuration Management training / certification is desired;
  2. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferable within a related industry.
  3. Well-developed communication skills to work collaboratively to a high standard within a multi-discipline team.
  4. Experience using Product Lifecycle Management system, electronic document management system, or similar
  5. Knowledge and understanding of industry configuration management standards

Relocation is available for the preferred applicant.
